Taylor Swift’s rep went out to deny reports spreading about her and rumored former ex Matty Healy.

What exactly was the rumour?

According to reports, Matty and his band were to featured on one of the vault tracks for 1989 (Taylor’s Version), which is set to be published in October. However, Taylor’s representative refuted the rumour, saying Billboard that “neither Matty Healy nor [The] 1975 are on this album.”

The two artists were romantically linked in the media for the first time in May, despite being friends for a long time. However, the pair’s supposed romance was greeted with disdain from all corners of the Swiftie fans, because of a number of prior controversies with the 1975 leader, and barely a month later, it was reported they’d already split up.

Some media  reported last week that the two had “reunited” – at least in terms of music, with Matty reportedly giving his voice to one of the tunes on Taylor’s upcoming re-release of her smash album 1989.

However, Taylor’s spokeswoman immediately refuted the claims.

The Grammy-winning album 1989 by the Shake It Off singer is the fourth in her collection to be given the “Taylor’s Version” treatment, as she keeps on re-record her first six albums following a public dispute over ownership of her masters.

Originally released in 2014, the album set up a series of hit singles including Shake It Off, Blank Space, Style, and Wildest Dreams, and went on to win Album Of The Year at the Grammys, becoming her second of three achievements in this category.

She previously stated that 1989 was her favourite album to re-record since the five new tracks are “so insane.”
