Russell Brand Denies ‘Criminal’ Allegations
Russell Brand has been accused of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse when he was the height of his success seven years ago.
Russell Brand is denying what he says are “very serious criminal” allegations made against him related to past “promiscuous” behavior. The 48-year-old British comedian vehemently rejected the upcoming criminal allegations that are purportedly set to be published about him by two major UK media sources in a video uploaded on Instagram on Friday.
“I have received two extremely disturbing letters, or a letter and an email, one from a mainstream media TV company, one from a newspaper, listing a litany of egregious and aggressive attacks,” he shared in the clip, captioned, “This is happening.”
“Amidst this litany of astonishing, rather baroque attacks, are some very serious allegations that I absolutely refute.”
Although Brand withheld the details of the accusations brought against him, he gave a hint that they include some sort of sexual misconduct because he then started defending his previous “promiscuous” behaviour.The 48-year-old British comedian strongly denied the upcoming criminal accusations that are purportedly set to be published about him by two major UK media sources in a video uploaded on Instagram on Friday.
In Hollywood blockbusters like “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” and “Get Him to the Greek,” the British comedian first rose to stardom as an MTV U.K. host. Between 2006 and 2013, four women have accused him of sexual assault.
He was married to singer Katy Perry between 2010 and 2012.
